Analysis: Lots of big political talk, few solutions to pain at the pump
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The nation's anger over $4 gasoline is producing a lot of energy-related theatrics at the White House and in Congress. Republicans are demanding new drilling off the nation's beaches. Democrats want to tax away oil companies' profits.
But none of the proposals has much chance of becoming law, and motorists would feel little or no relief if they did.

From The Bad to #&^$% File- Apparently some gas station owners will no longer except credit cards...Seems the high gas prices are rising the credit card fees as well...I call this a lose lose situation. Our country is in bad shape if it doesn't pay to sell gas at today's prices!!!

Larry, I like your blog. I feel like sometimes the rest of the world is laughing at us Americans because our price / gallon is nothing compared to equivalents in other countries. I know we have it bad, but do we have it that bad? It's still outrageous tho...
